- All substance have their own properties. Substances can be classified as acidic, alkaline and neutral.

- The properties can be determined by using litmus paper and their tastes.

- Acidic food substance taste sour and turn blue litmus paper to red.

- Acidic food substance taste bitter and turn red litmus paper to blue.

- Neutral substance can be sweet, salty or tasteless and do not change the colour of litmus paper.

Examples of Acidic : Vinegar, orange & pickle
Examples of Acidic : Shampoo & bitter gourd
Examples of Acidic : Mineral water, sugar & salt
